Overactive Bladder, Incontinence, and Pelvic Organ Prolapse.
Overactive bladder - happens mostly in women but may occur in men. It is a problem with bladder-storage function that results in a sudden and frequent urge to urinate that is difficult to stop. Overactive bladder may lead to the involuntary loss of urine.
Urinary incontinence — the loss of urinary control — is a common and potentially embarrassing problem. The severity of leakage can range from leaking a few drops of urine when you cough or sneeze to leaking significant amounts of urine that require you to wear urinary pads. This is called stress urinary incontinence. Another common type of incontinence is called urge urinary incontinence which occurs when having a strong urge to urinate that's so sudden you don't get to a bathroom in time resulting in leakage of urine. Proper evaluation and diagnosis are key to successful treatment since different types of incontinence are treated differently.
Pelvic organ prolapse - loss of normal vaginal support resulting in descend of pelvic organs (bladder, uterus, intestine) through vagina, may cause urinary symptoms such as incontinence, urinary retention, recurrent urinary infections.
