Erectile dysfunction (ED)
ED refers to inability to achieve or maintain an erection for sexual intercourse. The incidence of ED is increasingly common as the person ages, but may occur at any age. It should not be considered a natural part of aging since there are many men of advanced age who enjoy normal sexual life. Frequently there are physical or medical conditions that contribute to ED, including certain medications, and other factors such as stress and anxiety.
ED is diagnosed by evaluating patient’s medical history, performing a physical evaluation, and conducting a series of laboratory tests. These tests may include include blood counts, lipid profiles, blood sugar levels, HbA1c and morning testosterone levels. If these tests were performed by your primary physician, please bring them at the time of your visit. Occasionally, a penile sonogram is performed to evaluate blood flow in the penis. This evaluation is helpful to diagnose the precise mechanism of erectile dysfunction, i.e arterial insufficiency, venous leak, Peyronie's disease, and other conditions. ED can be treated with medications, psychological therapy, penile injections, vacuum devices, or penile prosthesis.
Premature Ejaculation
Premature ejaculation occurs either before or shortly after sexual activity. It happens with minimal sexual stimulation and may result in unsatisfactory sex for both partners. It is one of the most common forms of male sexual dysfunction. The International Society for Sexual Medicine endorses the following definition for premature ejaculation "ejaculation which always or nearly always occurs prior to or within about one minute". The causes of premature ejaculation are unclear. Both medical and non-medical treatments are available for premature ejaculation and need to be tailored to each individual.

In adulthood, it maintains muscle tone, bone health and is also responsible in maintaining interest in sex and erectile function.
Men having low testosterone may experience the following symptoms:
